RAMI KISHEK

Dr. Rami Kishek was recently named the 2013 American Physical Society Fellow, a prestigious award given to elite researchers who significantly contribute to our understanding of the physics of the universe.

Born and raised under occupation in Palestine, Dr. Rami Kishek is a researcher and professor of Engineering in Maryland. Dr. Kishek Received his B.S.E in Electrical Engineering in 1993, his M.S.E in Nuclear Engineering in 1995, and a Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering in 1997 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Following graduation, he joined the Institute in Research for Electronics and Applied Physics at the University of Maryland at College Park. He has authored over 165 publications in engineering, and was the Principle Investigator in the University of Maryland Electron Ring (UMER) laboratory which built an innovative particle accelerator that furthered his research on accelerator beams.
